LLMs - Using LLMs to provide business value Day 1 Lecture

All right, welcome everyone uh to uh LLM, uh, kind of application data engineering. It's gonna be A little bit high level to talking about today and then we'll dig a little bit deeper into an example of like how to use LLM to uh generate some interesting feedback for your PRs. It's like, I, I, I uh took kind of the auto grading example that we had uh in the boot camp and I made a a simplified like Dumbed down version of it so that y'all can just work with the very basic example. And then, uh, cause then it's easier to take a basic example and make it better than to take a complex example and try to rip it apart. So, uh, yeah, LLM, that's probably like one of the most hype word of the century, right? And I think that like we're gonna have a lot of very valuable um kind of stuff here as we go through uh this new AI revolution and yeah, let's, let's dig into this. So what are we talking about? Uh, 3 things, 3 things here. We have how will LLMs impact data engineering? I think this is the one that people are the most like scared about. Uh, they think that like they see those LLMs that like write SQL and then they're like, oh shit, data engineers are done, we're cooked, we're done, boys, like we gotta like throw in the towel, right? Uh and that's not the case actually. Like I'm gonna go into Pretty excruciating detail in, in what areas are at risk and what areas are fine. Then we're gonna talk a bit about how will data engineering impact LLMs? Separate conversation.
